About The Egetav Project
Engineered and constructed by Agrotop, this project is an all-in, all-out heavy breeder farm where the pullets mature into breeders in the same house, instead of being transferred to a different house between the growth stages. The growth results were excellent and surpassed even the Ross curve.
The Egetav company is one of the leading Turkish poultry Breeder growers. They had a lot of experience with open-air houses and approached Agrotop when they decided to upgrade to modern climate-controlled houses. The Egetav Project was fully engineered and constructed by Agrotop. It grows 300,000 pullet-breeders and heavy breeders, split between three farms of seven double 150X14 Sqm houses. All houses are connected to a central egg collection warehouse via an automatic conveyor belt. There is a negligible number of floor-eggs, due to a carefully designed lighting and micro-climate system. The project is an all-in, all-out heavy breeder farm, where the pullets mature into breeders in the same house instead of being transferred to a different one between the growth stages. The advantage in this method is a higher level of bio-security and less stress to the birds – which can lead to better growth results. The high levels of bio-security
and feed efficiency are key factors in the success of the project. The bird feed is transferred via an auger into daily bins connected to trucks parked outside the farm fence. The feed is then weighed and separated into daily portions for males and females, which will automatically be used in the house. The results of the project are top-notch, with 179 hatching eggs per hen (accumulated) in 60 weeks, compared to the Ross curve of 158. This translated into excellent economic results.
